Meet the Trainer
Meet Donny Hollis. I am a father of three and work full time in law enforcement. I have spent over eleven years in law enforcement at two different agencies in Oregon. My passion to teach and train led me to train officers as a Defensive Tactics Instructor and Field Training Officer for many years.
In 2011, I rediscovered the spirit of life after losing it for most of my twenties and early thirties. I found myself living life just going through the motions; abandoning myself, my health, and those who love me. I spent years putting my emotional and physical health on the back burner; only later to realize the lethality in this type of behavior. I wasn't happy; I wasn't living life; and to be frank... I was depressed.
This epiphany brought about miracles!!! My new journey back to sanity started with a challenge from my sister to compete in the Portland Rock and Roll Half Marathon. I had a goal... and I never looked back. I found my way back out into life... and into the fitness world. Between February 2012 and October 2012, I went from my seditative state to completing my first marathon, the Portland Marathon.
My mind has become clear. My body breathes new air. My smiles are permanent. Waking up for another day is exciting... eagerness to conquer more overwhelms me.
In January 2013, I found myself wanting to share this amazing life transformatiion with others who had not discovered the miracle of physical fitness. It was my yearning to make this revelation known. In my free time, I trained myself through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer. I became certified and now can't wait to change the lives of others.
Physical fitness shouldn't be painful or punishing. It truly is a life changing hobby. If my story sounds similar to yours, or even remotely, let's talk. I have something to tell you.
Hope to hear from you soon.
